Strategies for Success: Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) Certification Review

This course will prepare nurses to successfully pass the Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) examination. The course will be led by staff from previous cohorts who passed the exam and content experts from the medical team. Learners will be guided through the SCRN blueprint, identifying common pitfalls and challenges, and reviewing test taking strategies. By the end of the course, the nurse will have increased their knowledge regarding the SCRN examination and be able to successfully pass the SCRN examination.

1. Discuss how implicit bias may affect the care provided to stroke patients.
2. Interpret the Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) blueprint.
3. Identify test taking strategies to pass the Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) blueprint.
