The Promoting Civility in the Workplace Workshop is an interactive course that focuses on identifying and managing bullying using evidence-based strategies.  This workshop is to enhance the participant’s knowledge, skills, and attitudes in identifying and responding to workplace bullying. Participants will be immersed in a mixed educational methodology of didactic, simulation role-play, cognitive rehearsal, and debriefing. This workshop will also provide participants with strategies and suggestions to promote civility in the workplace, including incorporating Waston Caring Science and the 10 Caritas Processes. The program is designed for all healthcare members who want to learn more about identifying workplace bullying and approaches to promoting civility in these situations.


ANCC Learning Outcomes

65% of participants will report an intent to change practice by integrating ways to promote civility in the workplace.

Learning Objectives

  1. Define and identify incivility in the workplace.
  2. Define civility in the workplace.
  3. Verbalize ways to address incivility in the workplace
  4. Identify ways to promote civility in the workplace utilizing Jean Watson's Theory of Caring Science.
  5. Discuss ways to promote diversity and inclusivity and how to address implicit bias.

Registration

Regular Fee:  $60.00

$25.00 for cancellations received 72 days prior to the course date.
