This course comprehensively examines the latest bone marrow transplants and cell therapy advancements. During this class, you will hear from world-class providers who will help equip you with the knowledge to provide exceptional patient care. Why is this relevant? BMT and CT have revolutionized patient care for various conditions, from hematologic malignancies to autoimmune disorders. Nurses play a pivotal role in this rapidly growing field. By attending this course, you'll be able to describe the rationale for different types of cell therapies used to treat noncancerous diseases and new indications for cell therapies. You will also gain a deeper understanding into how new BMT and CT therapies work and their outcomes. Lastly, you will be able to recall different approaches to discussing end of life care with patients and providers and how implicit bias can affect these discussions. ANCC Learning Outcomes
65% of participants will self-report an increase knowledge of nursing management of new cell and bone marrow transplant therapies and state ways to apply knowledge to nursing practice.

  1. Describe the rationale for different types of cell therapies used to treat noncancerous diseases and new indications for use
  2. Recall different approaches to discussing end-of-life care with patients and providers and how implicit bias can affect these discussions.
  3. Understand how new BMT and CT treatments work and their outcomes
