Overview

Exclusive to Stanford Health Care Employees

The Stanford Health Care Advanced Practice Providers (APP) inpatient medicine team is proud to present APP Medicine Bootcamp; an education day for APPs focused on care of the acutely ill medical patient. This all-day conference will highlight best practices and evidence-based care of a variety of commonly seen diagnosis in the acute care setting and provide strategies for the APP to effectively and proficiently manage care of these patients. At the conclusion of this bootcamp, 65% of participants will self-report an increase in knowledge of management and care of acutely ill adults and will be able to identify strategies to implement best practices in their current practice.


ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Indicate how implicit bias may impact a patient assessment and discuss strategies that can be used by the provider to minimize their effect in the clinical setting.
  2. Describe current best practices for management of the acutely ill adult patient.
  3. Develop strategies to implement best practices in current practices.

AAPA Objectives
  1. Indicate how implicit bias may impact a patient assessment and discuss strategies that can be used by the provider to minimize their effect in the clinical setting.

Accreditation

This program is not yet approved for CME credit. Conference organizers plan to apply for 7.00 AAPA Category 1 credits from the AAPA Review Panel. The total number of approved credits is yet to be determined.
