The Resource Nurse is a pivotal member of a healthcare team and organization. Resource Nurses have many roles and responsibilities that ensure patients are receiving the appropriate care and microsystems are meeting regulatory guidelines.The Resource Nurse Leadership Development Workshop is a half-day online course that will clarify the roles and responsibilities of a resource nurse, identify and discuss standard work, and provide communication and feedback strategies. Stanford Health Care is dedicated in the development and success of nurse leaders. This course will provide new and experienced Resource Nurses the tools to be successful in the role.

1. Demonstrate essential leadership skills which can be applied to their professional practice role at SHC.
2. Apply knowledge in the science of leadership strategies which are integrated within the Professional Role components of the scientist, leader, practitioner, communicator and Jean Watsons Caring Science Theory to their role as a Charge Nurse.
3. Differentiate between implicit bias and Social Determinants of Health.
