Exclusive to Stanford Health Care & Stanford Children's Health (LPCH) Employees.

Healthcare professionals may experience crisis situations at work which may require quick action. This program will focus on de-escalation techniques and crisis interventions which could be applied during unexpected work situations. This program is presented by the Stanford Health Care Security Service and is open to all SHC and SCH employees.


ANCC Learning Outcomes
65% of participants will report an intent to change practice when handling a workplace violence situation. Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe de-escaltion techniques to use in a workplace violence situation.
  2. Discuss how unintended biases may affect how we handle a workplace violence situation and discuss ways to mitigate those biases.
