APP Grand Rounds August 2026: APP Fellows Professional A3 Project Presentations

The SCH/SHC Advanced Practice Provider Grand Rounds is a monthly podium speaker session targeted towards all Advance Practice Providers (APPs).

This activity provides a review of the APP Fellows' Professional A3 Project Presentations, showcasing process improvement initiatives in pediatric cardiac and surgical care. Participants will explore the application of A3 thinking, APP-led quality improvement strategies, factors influencing perioperative and postoperative care processes, and the impact of implicit bias on healthcare delivery and project outcomes.

1. Learners will gain knowledge to support evidence-based process improvement in clinical practice. (Knowledge)

1. Describe 2 primary pediatric cardiac and surgical issues in the field of process improvement.
2. Articulate the foundational concepts of A3 thinking and developing a process improvement project in pediatric cardiac and surgical care.
3. Acknowledge the potential impact and consequence of implicit bias as it relates to the APP Fellows' Professional Projects.
