Resource Nurse Leadership Development Workshop

The Resource Nurse is a pivotal member of a healthcare team and organization. They play a vital role in bridging clinical expertise with effective resource management, ensuring that both patients and healthcare teams have the support and guidance they need for optimal care delivery. This course will provide Resource Nurses with the tools and strategies to be successful in the new role. The objective for this in-person class is to cultivate professionalism, enhance communication and relationship management skills, deepen knowledge of the healthcare environment, improve resource navigation, and develop leadership abilities, empowering each participant to discover and strengthen the leader within in accordance with the American Organization of Nurse Leadership competency domains.

1. Apply various communication strategies to foster open dialogue and support collaborative problem solving.
2. Recognize the characteristics of transformational leadership as it applies to the resource nurse role
3. Discuss how implicit bias can affect the role of the Resource Nurse
