This webinar will present three speakers who will focus on connecting Watson Caring Science, organizational caring culture, and patient experience research.  

 

Drs. Grissel Hernandez, PhD, MPH, RN, SGAHN, FADLN, FAAN, Mary E. Lough, PhD, RN, CNS, FCCM, FAHA, FCNS, FAAN, and Alice Yan, PhD, CPHQ will present on, "Caring Science in Action: Building a Caring Culture and Advancing Patient Experience.” 

SESSION DESCRIPTION 

 

This session highlights Stanford Health Care’s nearly 15-year journey of integrating Caring Science across leadership, education, practice, and research. 

1. Describe how the Caring Science–Human Caring Culture framework guides the integration of Watson Caring Science across leadership, education, practice, and research to build and sustain a caring culture.
2. Interpret findings on the incremental contributions of human caring culture and Magnet®-aligned nursing behaviors to patient-experience outcomes.
3. Explain the direct and indirect pathways among human caring culture, nursing behaviors, and patient experience within a theory-driven Structure–Process–Outcome framework.
4. Identify how implicit bias may influence nurse–patient interactions.
