Overview

Employees may experience violence in their workplace, yet they are not equipped with the knowledge, skills or tools to transform the situation into a healthy environment. In this educational session, attendees will learn about the types of violence that may occur in the workplace and techniques which can be use when faced with such situations. The session will provide practical ways on how to support a caring and healthy work environment which can be used to minimizing violence in the workplace. The program is geared towards all healthcare providers in all specialties. Learning Outcome: 65% of participants will self-report a gain in knowledge in of therapeutic techniques which can be used to promote a healthy work environment.

**For the session, you will need a computer and internet access to view the meeting. Instructions on how to login will be emailed upon registration.


ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Identify work violence and apply mitigation and prevention techniques.
  2. Apply therapeutic communication tools effectively in a work environment.
