ACLS HeartCode Online & Skills Check

SHC offers ACLS skills in-person and HeartCode course online as a package.  The date you register for is the date you will attend your in-person skills assessment.  Your ACLS HeartCode link will be emailed within 48 business hours after you sign up. 

This course is for current ACLS certified individuals and those who have expired cards.  HeartCode® ACLS Online is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program.  Students can work at their own pace applying their knowledge to real-time decision making.  ACLS Online consists of a cognitive portion that is completed online before attending your scheduled skills session. 

The course incorporates the 2020 AHA Guidelines and is structured as follows:

• Online adaptive learning technology to allow learners to acquire and demonstrate Advanced Cardiac Life Support skills using a personalized learning path that adapts in real time to a learner’s performance
• Format utilizes a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, Cognitive Assessment Activities, illustrations, knowledge checks and interactive activities
• Students schedule an in-person one hour skills assessment using high fidelity manikins with real-time audio and visual feedback. Skills assessment with an AHA Instructor is required to earn a valid AHA ACLS Provider e-Card that is valid for two years.
• No written exam required the ACLS HeartCode online certificate of completion is required to attend the in-person skill assessment.
• Please note that CEs are provided directly from the AHA and will be available in your e-learning account upon online course completion.
