Crossing Borders: Research Collaboration Challenges and Opportunities

This course will discuss the role of nursing science, how nursing research impacts practice across various institutional settings, as well as the importance of research collaboration. Nurse researchers from different Sigma chapters will present their EBP and research studies. Attendees will learn about how nurse led research advances the nursing profession and clinical practice and be able to use that knowledge for their healthcare work environment.

1. Discuss the importance of nursing research collaboration and its translation to academia to practice.
2. Summarize how implicit prejudice or implicit attitude influences patient outcomes.
3. Apply knowledge gained to education and practice.
