Overview

The annual Stanford Health Care Stroke Symposium will provide learners with a full day of presentations highlighting new and best practices in the care of stroke patients. This year’s theme will focus on utilizing an interdisciplinary approach to improve stroke patient outcomes. Speakers include physicians, nurses and rehabilitation staff on a variety of topics including Pediatric strokes, Stroke Mimics, Vasculitis and Stroke, Cancer and Stroke, AVMs, and support of the Stroke Survivor. Special presentation to be given by a Stanford stroke survivor. By the end of the symposium, learners will have an increased knowledge in the assessment, management, and treatment approach of the stroke patient population.

This is a virtual class via Zoom.

**This will be a live webinar and you will need a computer with internet access to view the meeting. Instructions on how to login will be emailed upon registration.

 


ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Describe how implicit biases may affect the care provided to a stroke survivor patient and identify strategies to prevent this.
  2. List three barriers people with aphasia face in healthcare settings including misconceptions and biases around autonomy, cognition, and capacity.
  3. Describe the acute evaluation and barriers to rapid care in children with stroke.

Early Bird: $75 (register March 31)

Regular: $99 (after March 31)

Cancellation Policy: No refunds will be issues. This symposium will be recorded and recording will be available to all registrants for CE credit for 30 days following the conference.
