Crossing Borders - Nursing Without Limits: Driving Innovation in Health Care

This course discusses the role of nursing science and how nursing research translates into practice across diverse institutional settings, with emphasis on turning findings into improved patient outcomes. It highlights how nurse-led innovation—through research, evidence-based practice, and translational science—advances care delivery, safety, and quality. Nurse researchers from different Sigma chapters will present their EBP initiatives and research studies.

1. Integrate evidence-based nursing innovations into their practice to address care gaps across clinical, community, and interdisciplinary settings.
2. Apply innovative nursing approaches to overcome organizational and role-based barriers impacting care delivery.
3. Adapt innovative nursing solutions that respond to emerging healthcare challenges and evolving practice environments.
