Overview

**Opens to Stanford Communities and Mission By the Bay**

This conference is designed to support nurses in delivering compassionate, high-quality care to patients with serious, chronic, and life-limiting illnesses. Focused on palliative care, hospice, end-of-life care, and effective symptom management, the conference offers practical, evidence-based strategies that can be applied at the bedside. Through expert-led sessions and real-world case discussions, participants will strengthen their skills in managing pain and distressing symptoms, communicating with patients and families, and navigating complex care decisions. A special family panel will provide powerful, firsthand perspectives on the patient and caregiver experience, offering valuable insight into what matters most at the end of life. Attendees will leave with greater confidence, empathy, and tools to provide comfort-focused, patient-centered care.

All learners must attend entire course, complete post self-assessment, and submit evaluation after course completion to earn credit hours.
