Oncology Series: Advanced Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Cellular Therapy (CT)

The Oncology Series is a collection of three sessions focused on enhancing the knowledge in caring for the oncology patient. It is broken into two pathways: Hematology/Oncology Nursing and Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) / Cellular Therapy (CT) nursing. The BMT/CT nurse sessions provide evidence based information regarding infection prevention and management, graft vs host disease identification and treatments, and an overview of CT. It also includes information on acute complications in the BMT/CT patient and their management. The target audience for this course are experienced RNs who are new to BMT/CT nursing. Recordings are from 5/11/26 live class. 

You are required to complete all modules, pass post-test and complete evaluation to obtain CE certificate. Pass rate 70% with three attempts. 

1. Identify possible complications secondary to blood and marrow transplant (BMT) and be able to conceptualize use of cellular therapies (CT).
2. Describe how implicit bias affects patient with graft vs host disease (GVHD), and list strategies to mitigate.
3. Identify complications secondary to blood and marrow transplant (BMT) and cellular therapy (CT) and discuss various treatment options.
