Implementation of a Mentorship Program to Enhance Representation of Black and African American Staff in an Academic Healthcare System

This webinar will present the design, implementation, and long-term sustainment of a mentorship program for Black and African American staff to help organizations set up effective mentoring programs that support career advancement, engagement, professional visibility, and empowerment for underrepresented groups.

1. Identify strategies and resources to launch a mentoring program in a healthcare setting
2. Identify interdepartmental partnerships for program development to promote diversity
3. Describe effective ways to recruit mentees and mentors and reduce implicit bias by understanding the importance of mentoring underrepresented employees
