Overview

The annual Stanford Health Care Stroke Symposium will provide learners with a full day of presentations highlighting new and best practices in the care of stroke patients. This year’s theme, Choreographing Stroke Care Across the Continuum: From Dispatch to Discharge, will provide the learner with innovative strategies to improve patient outcomes focusing on teamwork and personalized care from initial assessment in the field to inpatient best practices. By the end of the symposium, learners will have an increased knowledge in the assessment, management, and care of stroke patients and be able to apply these to their clinical practice.


ANCC Learning Outcomes

Learners will state this educational activity increased their knowledge of current treatment approaches and best practices for the stroke population.

Learning Objectives:


  1. Mitigate the impact of implicit bias in acute stroke recognition and treatment by identifying one strategy to promote equitable, timely assessment and documentation for all patients presenting with neurologic symptoms.
  2. Analyze recent American Heart Association recommendations for treatment options, including intravenous thrombolysis and thrombectomy in pediatric patients.
  3. Apply the stroke severity scale utilized by Santa Clara County EMS to make a triage decision.

Registration

Early Bird Fee: $75 (register by April 15, 2026)
Regular Fee: $99 (register after April 15, 2026)

Cancellation Policy: There is no refund for cancellation or no show. This symposium will be recorded, and recording will be available to all registrants for CE credit for 30 days following the symposium.

Please complete payment with a credit card. If payment is not received, your registration will be incomplete and you will not be registered for the conference.
