Pelvic Health Physical Therapy: What You Really Want to Know

This 1-hour course is designed for the Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Provider who is interested in a more comprehensive understanding of pelvic floor physical therapy. Topics in this session include musculoskeletal anatomy, conditions treated by pelvic health physical therapists, testing and treatment modalities. By the end of the course, learners will increase their knowledge about pelvic health and pelvic floor dysfunctions.

1. Identify common conditions treated by Pelvic Health Physical Therapy.
2. Recognize how implicit bias contributes to disparities in the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction.
3. Describe a pelvic health physical therapy evaluation and treatment modalities.
4. List resources for initiating home pelvic health techniques.
