APP Grand Rounds May 2023 - Recognizing a potential Eating Disorder in your practice (5/22/2023)

This lecture will allow the APP to recognize occult trauma in children and fractures that are worrisome for abuse. This will be gained through a description and understanding of the biomechanics and anatomy related to fractures and abdominal trauma. The APP will be able to develop an evaluation plan and relevant follow up studies accordingly. By the end of the event, learners will be able to recognize signs and symptoms, evaluate and manage children with occult trauma and suspected abuse.

1. Self report they are able to apply the knowledge learned in today's session to practice.
2. Discuss how the Advanced Practice Provider role contributes to better patient outcomes.
3. Describe how implicit bias may impact a patient assessment and discuss strategies that can be used by the provider to minimize their effect in the clinical setting
